The Déroc waterfall, a unique setting
The Déroc site is an exceptional natural location on the Aubrac plateau, near Nasbinals in the Lozère. The waterfall and the barn form a wild and authentic setting, far from the hustle and bustle.
A place where nature takes its time.
Argentine soul, Aubrac flavours
Welcome to "La Parrilla", the Argentine sandwich bar with local produce. Steps away from the Déroc waterfall and the GR65, La Grange du Déroc, undergoing a renovation project, is home to La Parrilla.
La Parrilla offers two classic Argentine sandwiches — the choripán and the bondiola sandwich — made with sausage from the Ateliers de l'Aubrac in Nasbinals and pork shoulder from Bousquet in Aveyron.
Aubrac beef takes centre stage in the "brochette Aubrac", a 100% Aubrac beef sandwich, and in the Aubrac burger, also from Bousquet.
For vegetarians, the "brochette végétarien" is a sandwich served with fresh tome cheese.
This tome — the very one used for aligot — comes from our excellent cheesemaker Benoît Chapert, in Aumont-Aubrac.
For vegans, fear not — the meat and vegetable grills are kept separate, and the "brochette légumes" (without tome, or with for vegetarians) is generously complemented by our sauces.
All sandwiches are served with an Argentine sauce, made exclusively from plant-based ingredients. Chimichurri is the essential accompaniment to grilled meats. Criolla is the popular alternative, made with local vegetables. And the captivating salsa Lucía, by chef and YouTuber Lucía Soria, pairs perfectly with both meat and meat-free sandwiches.
All breads are specially made by the Chassang bakery in Nasbinals.
And the ratatouille and fries : homemade !
Local produce, honest cooking
All our sandwiches are made exclusively with Aubrac produce. They are all served with your choice of one of our Argentine sauces (also made with local ingredients) :
We are proud to display the "Fait Maison" (Homemade) label because everything truly is homemade ! More information about this label here : www.economie.gouv.fr/entreprises/fait-maison.

How to find us
Evening events will be announced on this page. Full details of each event will be provided in due course.
La Parrilla is located 50 metres from the Déroc waterfall. Several options are available to get there :
The Déroc waterfall is about 40 minutes on foot from the village of Nasbinals (GR670), 25 minutes from Montgros and 15 minutes from Montgrousset. From Montgros and Montgrousset, a path running alongside the D52 on the left leads to the Déroc — no need to walk on the tarmac.
If you are walking the Camino de Santiago, you can leave the GR65 at the Pont de Marchastel bridge over the Bès river, and reach the waterfall by following the direction of La Borie de l'Aubrac. The detour takes only around ten minutes and the view is absolutely worth it. You can then continue to Nasbinals via the GR670, with beautiful memories in your eyes.
You can park in front of La Parrilla. The car park is small but can accommodate visitors.
The public car park for the Déroc waterfall is on the route des lacs (the D52). Then take the path that runs between the meadows, to the left of the Chalet du Déroc. The top of the waterfall is accessible through a gap in the fences on your right.
If you arrive at La Parrilla without having seen the waterfall, just grab a delicious sandwich and walk 50 metres back the way you came.
The path from the D52 is accessible by bicycle and you can leave your bikes at La Parrilla while you visit the waterfall. If you plan to cycle from the bottom of the waterfall (from the Bès and La Borie de l'Aubrac), pack a mountain bike and very strong legs.
All paths are accessible to horses, donkeys, cows, bison, etc. They are also welcome at La Parrilla, as long as they are kept on a lead.
